Gotta tell ya. I was on my way to work this A.M. with the pod going as usual.

Got through on tune, and that baby just froze in time,. Couldn't go fwd or rev, lite on couldn't shut it off. So when I got to work I put it in my docking station, still no joy.

So I googled My Ipod just froze up. And yes indeed your site popped up.

Even better, your solution , hold the center and menu buttom at the same time for a few seconds, AHH YES, I am back in music business.

YouKnow. This may not be the only solution, an iPod is essentially a hard drive and although I can't say for certain a last case alternative would be to try and de-fragment or ultimately format your iPod. I tried the reset on my iPod to no avail. Also a few of my songs on the iPod are cut a lil short leading me to believe a de-fragment is in order.

man i was going to throw my ipod against the wall. Just before i seen this post....!!! it didnt work the first time so i held the menu for about a min then it rebooted... im happy once again....

My girlfriend bought me an ipod and I was so worried I broke it! I had the same problem (same specs on the ipod). I was going to let the battery run down, thanks for this excellent tip!
